i like this a lot, good contrast with the textures. big fan of Illustrator! i feel sorry for the boy who's sorry for breaking the pot plant... you've captured it well! :)
Looks great! How was your experience with Illustrator?
I use illustrator a lot, but I hadn't really thought of using textures-- I had always thought of textures as a "Photoshop thing". But I am somewhat familiar with creating patterns and stuff(as swatches), so I just decided I should make my own textures and use them as style elements and see how that flies.
I'm moderately pleased at how this came out. I'm definitely going to explore it further in the future.
